August 2024: Cleveland Guardians Trip Photo Gallery

The trip kicked off with high-stakes baseball as the Guardians hosted the Orioles. While the games at Progressive Field were the main event, the highlight for Pete happened at the airport.  Pete got to meet Roch Kubatko, the long-time Orioles broadcaster and writer.  As a big fan, this was the perfect “insider” moment to start the trip.  The visit to League Park offered a profound sense of history.  Walking the grounds where the 1920 World Series was won and where Babe Ruth hit his 500th home run is a bucket-list item.  Both the League Park experience and the Pro Football Hall of Fame were described as “absolutely incredible,” offering a deep dive into the roots of American sports.  A trip to the NFL Hall of Fame (Canton, O in August is the ultimate football experience.  Exploring the Hall of Busts and the “Game for Life” holographic theater really hammered home the prestige of the game for Pete and Preston.  Seeing the evolution of the NFL in such a massive, modern facility was a highlight for the whole group.  WWE SummerSlam brought the action!  The energy at Cleveland Browns Stadium was massive, made even better by the company of Monorail Mollie and her son Zach.  SummerSlam’s official host, The Miz, was the star of the weekend. Jen managed to get up close and personal with Cleveland’s own “A-Lister,” creating a memory that likely rivaled the matches themselves!  From the explosive entrances to the championship drama, it was a true spectacle of sports entertainment.
