December 2024: WDW / Magical Night of Hope Photo Gallery

December 2024 was a particularly special time to be at Walt Disney World, especially with the community-driven events participated in.  One of the most meaningful parts of the trip was supporting The 4th Annual Magical Night of Hope at Give Kids The World Village (GKTW).  Hosted by Cory from Cory Meets World, the 4th Annual Magical Night of Hope took place on Saturday, December 14, 2024.  It was a night of music and magic featuring performers like Yehaa Bob Jackson, Josh from ResortTV1, and a special appearances by Gijs Van Winkelhof and Paging Mr. Morrow.  Pete, Preston, Monorail Mollie – Jen, Mollie’s Mom – Anita, and Casey joined fellow community members to help raise an incredible $70,000+ for the Village.  These funds help GKTW provide week-long, cost-free vacations for critically ill children and their families, making the trip a “vacation with a purpose.  The group immersed themselves in the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, which celebrates global traditions through food, music, and storytelling.  They witnessed the World Showcase Storytellers, where legendary holiday figures come to life. Between stories, the festival offered seasonal bites like the slow-roasted turkey in the American Pavilion or the back and white cookies at L’Chaim! Holiday Kitchen.  Beyond the special events, they saw the four parks and Disney Springs in their full holiday “dress”.  Main Street, U.S.A. was decked in towering wreaths, and you saw the “Frozen Holiday Surprise” where Elsa and Anna transformed Cinderella Castle into a crystallized palace.  Disney’s Hollywood Studios shared the Sunset Seasons Greetings projections on the Tower of Terror and the oversized ornaments in Toy Story Land.  The Merry Menagerie puppets (reindeer, foxes, and polar bears) at Disney’s Animal Kingdom offered that unique, artistic holiday touch.  Managing all four parks and a major charity event in one trip is a “Grand Slam” of Disney visitation!
