Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is a roller coaster attraction at Epcot at Walt Disney World. The ride will be manufactured by Vekoma. Based on the Marvel Cinematic Universe Guardians of the Galaxy films, the attraction will be the first at Walt Disney World to feature characters from the Marvel Universe.
It will replace the Universe of Energy pavilion, which closed on August 13, 2017.Originally set to open in 2021, the attraction was delayed to summer 2022 as part of the park’s 40th anniversary celebration, which is part of Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary celebration, since the opening was postponed indefinitely following the closure of the park due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Following the announcement, the attraction will become part of the Wonders of Xandar Pavilion, the first Other-world Showcase Pavilion.On April 4, 2022, The Walt Disney Company announced that Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind would officially open on May 27, 2022
